Rachael v. Oprah
TMZ reports that Rachael Ray once made a racist remark about Oprah Winfrey. Back in 2005, while dining with a group of friends, Ray mentioned a portrait that’s featured in the lobby of Winfrey’s production company. It’s a picture of Winfrey from her movie, “Beloved” and shows the talk show queen dressed in slavery-era garb, to which prompted Ray to ask:
“Why is she wearing slave drag? She obviously has problems being black.”
A spokesperson for Ray denies she ever made that comment, and says that in fact Ray thinks Winfrey would make a lovely slave. The spokesperson added, “Rachael would even let her live in the big house.”
