Don’t It Make Your Brown Eyes Blue?
Singer Crystal Gayle has her tour bus back. It was stolen by Christopher Gay, an escaped convict, who had been racing across the country in an attempt to visit his dying mother in Tennessee.
“My heart goes out to him and his family,” Gayle said. “It’s a sad story, his mother is very ill. I do hope he gets to see her. This isn’t personal, it’s a material possession. I am not upset. Maybe I should be, but I’m not.”
Her tour bus, on the other hand, wasn’t quite as sympathetic. “Crystal Gayle’s Tour Bus hopes his mother burns in hell,” it told reporters. “Motherfucker gotta pay for messing with Crystal Gayle’s Tour Bus. Shiiiiiiiiiit!”
