Old Yeller: The Alternate Ending
A couple in India, grieving over the loss of their dog, committed suicide by hanging themselves, police said on Monday.
“The couple described the grief over their pet dog in the suicide note they left on March 29,” said police inspector V. Anantaiah.
Police said the childless couple had held a burial ceremony for their dog of 13 years, called “Puppy,” and hosted a feast for friends before hanging themselves in their bedroom.
Wow, you’d think if they liked the dog that much, they’d have come up with a better name.
Investigators have yet to uncover any solid evidence, but it’s rumored that the couple recently bought a thermometer from Judith Giuliani.

Jesus Christ what’s wrong with getting a younger, cuter, similar looking dog and naming it “Puppy II?” When 8 year olds are better at dealing with emotional stress than you are, you got problems.
I probably should have sent them this advice BEFORE they died.
