President’s Compassion Strikes Again
During a press conference yesterday President Bush made fun of a reporter for wearing sunglasses on a cloudy day. Seemed harmless enough at the time, but as it turns out the reporter, Peter Wallsten of the LA Times, needs the sunglasses because he is legally blind due to a degenerative eye disease that makes him highly sensitive to daylight.
When Bush was told of Wallsten’s condition he immediately called him and apologized. The President then returned to his luncheon with the renowned physicist, Stephen Hawking.
“Hey, Hawky, what’s with your computer voice box thingy?” Bush was overheard asking. “You trying to be a robot or what?”
