Senate to Flag: You’re Fired!
For the third time, the Senate has opposed an amendment to the Constitution that would outlaw flag burning.
“The 66-34 vote fell just short of the two-thirds needed to pass a constitutional amendment and send it on to the states for ratification. The House of Representatives approved the amendment last year.”
Now will you conservative fucks just drop it already? This is America. Home of the free (to burn a flag). Land of the brave (flag desecrators). A wise man once said, “What a country!” and he was talking about us — the good ol’ U-S-of-Flag-shitting-on-A. So if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And if it’s on fire, let it burn!
To be fair, most Senators pay little attention to the bills they vote on, and thought they were upholding the right of Americans to burn “fags.” Because if there’s one thing the House and Senate can almost agree on, it’s that they hate homosexuals.
