Blog Tries Extra Hard to Make Scarlett Johansson Love Nazis

Today: a lesson in how the media can take anything you say and turn it into a “story.” When speaking of filming The Black Dahlia in Bulgaria, Scarlett Johansson said, “There are a lot of strange things. Like if you go to markets, there is all this Nazi paraphernalia you can buy. It’s really interesting. I really enjoyed my time there. It’s a fascinating city.”

Starpulse then created an entire story around this quote, suggesting Scarlett Johansson was collecting swastikas and Luger pistols and Mel Gibson DVDs.

The Lost In Translation actress was fascinated by the amount of Nazi paraphernalia she found while browsing the markets in the historic capital of Sofia. And she soon found herself deeply interested in the historic junk.

Maybe readers will take this into consideration before they believe everything they see in the tabloids – sometimes all you have to say is one controversial word and the papers turn it into a giant scandal. And sometimes you expose your vagina a record three times in one week and people call you Cunt Flash. It’s not right. Don’t judge a book by it’s bare, shaven cover.
